Gyu-Kaku Rancho Cucamonga Offers Popular Grilled Cuisine

Get-togethers with friends, family and business acquaintances become special occasions

Tokyo style grilled yaki-niku dining restaurants are springing up all over at a rapid pace. In May, Gyu-Kaku opened its newest restaurant, the 11th in the chain’s American operation, in Rancho Cucamonga, located 50 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It is situated in a huge mall in a convenient, central location. It is immediately identifiable from the outside due to the immense glass façade of relaxing black tones.

The interior has an inviting and comfortable look as well as a luxurious feeling to it. The décor is contemporary Japanese. Each table is furnished with a wide grill in the center. Guests cook their meals themselves on these smokeless grills and it becomes a festive, special occasion where everyone gets into the action.

The main dishes include Harami Skirt Steak with Miso Marinade ($8), Chicken Basil ($7) and Shrimp in Garlic Sauce ($12). Naturally, there is also a wide selection of vegetable dishes, such as Broccoli ($3), Mushroom Medley ($5) and Asparagus with Butter ($4), as well as others.

There is a wide variety of drinks available, including sake, wine, shochu and beer ($5~$100). Among these, there are premium sake brands imported from Japan for a comparatively reasonable price that can be enjoyed, so wine connoisseurs are urged to try some of them to see what they think. The knowledgeable staff is glad to offer advice regarding which sake is best paired with which dish.

The large tables offer families the opportunity to rub shoulders and enjoy a relaxing meal together. Others will find it just as welcoming. After doing some shopping this is a place to relax and spend some time with other family members building great memories. Keep Gyu-Kaku in mind when visiting the area.
Free parking is available within the mall structure.
