Visions for Keiro Holds 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic

Visions for Keiro, a support group for Keiro Senior HealthCare, held its 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic at the Candlewood Country Club in Whittier on Monday, July 16. “This year’s tournament was a resounding success,” says Visions golf tournament committee member, Karl Kim. “We had a full field with golfers of all skill levels, and the change in starting time to 8am meant beating the heat and made for a much more pleasant round.”

“Thanks to the sponsors, participants, and volunteers from our community, this was one of the best years in terms of raising money,” said Visions President Gary Kawaguchi. The annual golf tournament raised over $40,000. Net proceeds will benefit Keiro’s mission of enhancing the quality of senior life in our community through culturally-sensitive healthcare services.

For over 45 years, philanthropy and volunteerism have enabled Keiro Senior HealthCare, the largest, Japanese American healthcare provider in the nation, to continue to meet the ever-changing needs of seniors in our community. As the number of Japanese American seniors continues to grow rapidly, the need for the services and programs of Keiro increases. With help from our community, Visions for Keiro provides support as Keiro continues to face the ever-increasing cost of providing care, an ongoing nursing shortage, and the need to maintain heavily utilized care facilities.
