Tofu Curry

Salt and pepper the tofu prior to cooking to bring out curry flavor..

Ingredients
1 cake momen tofu
1/2 onion
4 small green peppers
10 mushrooms
1 clove garlic
1 piece of fresh ginger
1 1/2 Tbsp wheat flour
1 1/2 Tbsp curry powder
1 1/2 Tbsp salad oil
Salt
Pepper
1 bouillon cube
1 cup water


    Method

    1. Cut the tofu in half horizontally, and then into 8 pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
    2. Heat 1 tablespoon of salad oil in a frying pan and brown the tofu on each side.
    3. Cut the onion into fine strips and the small green peppers into 3/8 inch lengths. Quarter the mushrooms. Chop the garlic and ginger.
    4. Heat 1 tablespoon of salad oil in a pot and ad the ginger, garlic, onion, small pepper, and mushrooms in this order, and stir-fry. Add the wheat flour and curry powder and stir-fry well until the whole becomes smooth.
    5. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, water, and the bouillon cube to the pot. When it came to a boil, reduce the heat and cook for 10 minutes. Add the tofu and mix quickly until well seasoned.

    6. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
