Ginger
Pork Saute
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS:
- 14 oz (400g) boneless pork
loin, thinly sliced
- 3 T oil for grilling
Garnishes
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tomato
- Parsley
Marinade Sauce:
- 1 t ginger juice or 1 1/2 t
grated fresh ginger root
- 4 T soy sauce
- 2 T sake
- 1/2 T sugar
DIRECTIONS:
- Marinate thinly sliced pork loin for 10 minutes.
- Lift pork slices out and keep marinade sauce.
- Heat 3 T oil in a 12 in (30cm) skillet over moderate heat;
add pork pieces and saute until brown on both sides.
- As the pork pieces should not overlap each other, cook in
batches, adding more oil if necessary.
- Add reserved marinade sauce; cook the pork over medium high
heat, stirring, until the pork is glazed.
- Arrange the pork on a platter and garnish with tomato wedges
and sliced cucumber.
