Ginger Pork Saute
Serves 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 14 oz (400g) boneless pork loin, thinly sliced
  • 3 T oil for grilling Garnishes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tomato
  • Parsley

Marinade Sauce:

  • 1 t ginger juice or 1 1/2 t grated fresh ginger root
  • 4 T soy sauce
  • 2 T sake
  • 1/2 T sugar
DIRECTIONS:
  • Marinate thinly sliced pork loin for 10 minutes.
  • Lift pork slices out and keep marinade sauce.
  • Heat 3 T oil in a 12 in (30cm) skillet over moderate heat; add pork pieces and saute until brown on both sides.
  • As the pork pieces should not overlap each other, cook in batches, adding more oil if necessary.
  • Add reserved marinade sauce; cook the pork over medium high heat, stirring, until the pork is glazed.
  • Arrange the pork on a platter and garnish with tomato wedges and sliced cucumber.
