Tofu Steak Au Poivre
4 Servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • Tofu Steak Garlic & Pepper 1 Package
  • Spinach Leaves, Cleaned 1/4 Lbs
  • Cracked Black Pepper 2 Tbs

Sauce:

  • 1/2 Cup Shallot, Sliced

  • 1 Tbs Garlic, Sliced

  • 1 1/2 Cup Red Wine

  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Stock

  • 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream

  • 2 Tbs Butter

  • 1 Tbs Cooking Oil

  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

DIRECTIONS:

Sauce:

  1. In A Saucepan, Lightly Saute Shallot And Garlic With 1 Tbs Butter.

  2. Cook On Medium Heat Until Brown, Add Red Wine And Chicken Stock.

  3. Keep It On Medium Heat Until The Liquid Is Reduced To 1/4 Amount.

  4. Add Heavy Cream, 1 Tbs Butter And Mix Well.

  5. Add Salt. Keep It Warm On The Side.

Tofu Stake:

  1. Drain Water Out Of Tofu Well.

  2. Cut Each Tofu In A Round Shape Using A Ring Cutter.

  3. Spread Black Pepper On The Flat Plate.

  4. Place Tofu On The Peppered Plate. Press Gently Only Or One Side.

  5. In A Preheated Saute Pan, Pour Cooking Oil, And Place Tofu With The Pepper Side Down.

  6. Cook For About 3 Mins, Turn And Cook For Another 3 Mins.

  7. Blanch Spinach In Boiling Water. Drain Water Well.

  8. Place Tofu On The Bed Of Spinach And Pour Sauce Around.
