12 Hot Springs

Hakone, one of the most
representative tourist resorts for its salubrious climate and
natural beauty. With Mt. Fuji in the background and the placid
Lake Ashi in its bosom, Hakone is surrounded by scenic mountains
and abundant yield of hot water gushing out of the hot springs

Shinjuku station by Odakyu Railways. Or 40 min. by JR bullet train
from Tokyo to Odawara, from Odawara, the mountain railroad
‘Hakone Tozan Tetsudo’ runs along the deep intervening gorge
to the resorts.
Places of historic interest and
modern tourist sites are harmoniously blended with nature, Hakone
Shrine, The Ceder Avenue, Hakone Check point, Soun Temle and
Motohakone Stone Buddhas represent the historical and cultural
sites in Hakone. Stone Paved Road, Owakudani Valley, Lake Ashi and
Hakone Detached Palace Garden form the splendid scenery in Hakone.
Gora Park, Hakone-en Aquarium, The Hakone Open Air Museum,
