Famima Opens its Thirteenth Store

This past January 17th at 1:00 pm, a grand opening ceremony for the Famima California Plaza Store was held.
The store has been open since December, and is popular among young businessmen and office workers working in the neighboring high-rise buildings.

The Japanese Consulate-General is in one of the Buildings at California Plaza, which is in Downtown LA. There are also many Japanese-affiliated enterprises in the area, and employees from multinational corporations and tourists from nearby hotels visit Famima as well.
On the day of the ceremony, dignitaries such as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa; Acting Consul General, Consulate General of Japan, Yoshimasa Tezuka; and Senior Vice President &Director of Economic Development, Hal Bastian, gave congratulatory remarks. Following the speeches, all present enjoyed a round of sushi tasting.

The Grand Opening of “Tokyo Table” in Arcadia
Since the 2006 opening of their first location on La Cienega Blvd in Beverly Hills, “Tokyo Table Restaurant & Bar,” a Japanese casual dining destination in Arcadia celebrated the grand opening of their second location in Los Angeles on January 17.
To reach the restaurant, exit the 210 fwy at Baldwin Ave and head south until you pass the Santa Anita Race Track on your left. The Westfield Santa Anita Mall appears after passing the race track, where the Tokyo Table Arcadia branch is located inside. Much like the La Cienega location, the deep brown organic hues inside the restaurant offer a relaxing ambiance where diners feast on Japanese fusion cuisine.
Various high quality sake, selected by their sake sommelier grace the bar, where visitors can also choose from various wines and cocktails. The casual and relaxing ambiance of this restaurant is enhanced by the quality service offered by their staff, an ideal place to enjoy tasty yet reasonable Japanese fusion cuisine with family and friends.
