Sake Tasting at Tokyo Table
Since last month, Tokyo Table has been holding sake tasting events as part of its service to guests.
The last sake tasting held featured a wide assortment of sake brands from all regions of Japan.
Creative foods to match each sake were served, and participants eagerly listened to a sake sommelier talk about sake, "sake and food pairing," and so forth.
The sake tastings took place twice, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and a total of 300 sake lovers participated.

Richard Gaines Takes up Post as General Manager
Following the change in ownership from the New Otani Hotel & Garden last year, Mr. Richard Gaines has assumed the post of General Manager at the Kyoto Grand Hotel & Gardens in Little Tokyo. Not only is the hotel a symbol for the Japanese community in Little Tokyo, but it also symbolizes Japanese culture in North America, and has taken on a leading role for many years. A great deal of attention, therefore, was paid to who would become the General Manager. Mr. Gaines is from Los Angeles and has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry. Speaking of his future ambitions, Mr. Gaines said, “This hotel plays an important role in Little Tokyo. While valuing that tradition, I would like the hotel to continue from now on to be a place where many people will visit.”.
